What do you call it when some of the best musicians of the time decide to team up and create music? You call it heaven. They called it Dream Theater.
It was founded in 1985 by John Petrucci, Mike Portnoy and John Myung. John Petrucci has been on the “Top 100 guitar shredders of all time”-a list of the most successful and best guitarists of the world. Mike Portnoy is the youngest drummer ever, at the age of 37, to have been inducted into the Drummer Hall of Fame. Myung was voted the greatest bassist of all time, in a poll by MusicRadar in 2010. The lineup changed over the years, but the founding members remained together till 2010
