A guitar is perhaps the most popular instrument in the world. A guitar is a string instrument, and is of various kinds. Acoustic, Hawaiian, Spanish and electric guitars are a few examples. All of these guitars play differently and produce different sorts of music - thus they're obviously meant for different genres. Learning how to play a guitar is not very difficult, considering the number of self taught guitarists there are all around. A guitar can be played at the most basic level, where one only plays chords and uses the instrument as a accompaniment; or at an advanced level, where the guitar is the primary musical instrument.
